2013 will bring with it Sam’s third year with Liverpool in the WSL, but Sam has been at the club for an impressive 7 years in total. She has also represented England at U19 level, and says her career highlight was her first start for England against Macedonia in the European Championships.

Why I love football:

As a kid I just loved to play any sports, as long as I was outside enjoying myself. I always played out with the other kids in our street as soon as I got back from school, or even at school I'd be playing football at break times.

I love football as there aren't many better feelings than being part of a team and winning as a team. Football has given me the opportunity to travel to places and play at grounds that I never thought I would.

Career Highlight :

Sam singles out her Liverpool debut against Northern Ireland at Anfield as her club career highlight, along with being part of the side that won the Northern Division title last season.

At international level, her first start for England's under 19s against Macedonia in the European Championships is her proudest moment to date.
