Top Swedish International Signed

Louise Fors

Louise Fors is the latest signing for Liverpool Ladies. Louise has played for Sweden at all international levels and has 24 full international caps. The 23 year old midfielder is currently playing for Western Sydney Wanderers in Australia.

Louise Fors has played for Swedish clubs: Hammarby IF DFF, AIK and Linköping FC as well as the Spanish club RCD Espanyol. She will join the Liverpool squad at the start of February 2013.

Louise made her debut for Sweden against Romania in September 2008. Since then she has represented Sweden in the 2009 European Championships and the 2011 World Cup qualifiers.

On signing her Liverpool contract Louise said: “When I heard that Liverpool was interested and I got to see their future plan, it felt like the right next step in my career. I look forward to start training with the team and represent the Club. ”

Liverpool Ladies manager Matt Beard commented: “We are delighted to bring Louise to Liverpool Ladies Football Club. Louise is a Swedish International with 24 caps and can play central or left midfield. She is a great passer of the ball and a dead ball specialist. Louise has played professionally in Sweden and Spain and adds more strength, depth and quality to our squad.”
