Manager Johnson gives us his thoughts ahead of Wednesday's game at Everton

Robbie Johnson is in confident mood ahead of his side’s visit to local rivals, where he believes that Liverpool Ladies can take all three points.

Liverpool take on Everton at Halton stadium on Wednesday and manager Robbie says that recent improvements to his team’s performances have boosted confidence throughout the squad.

Robbie said: “In our last few games the team has been playing well, both individually and together, and it gives us great belief going into the Everton match. Nevertheless, we still need to eradicate the silly mistakes that are costing us points.

“A win is our big priority at the moment, the results against Chelsea and Birmingham were not what we wanted, but there were plenty of positives to take out of both games that shows we’re on the right track.

“Everton is a big game, of course, as Merseyside derbies always are, but it’s business as usual for us. The players have been training hard and are extremely focused on picking up points and improving their individual performances.

“Last season our biggest attendances were at both derbies and we’re hoping for more of the same on Wednesday, that as many Liverpool fans as possible come and support us throughout the game.”

Everton Ladies v Liverpool Ladies takes place on Wednesday 30 May at Halton Stadium, WA8 7DZ. The match kicks off at 7.30pm.

Tickets are priced at £4.00 for adults and £2.00 for children and are available on the turnstile.
