Q&A with Chloe Jones

Chloe Jones

Midfielder Chloe talks us through some of her favourite things at home and on match day

FOOTBALL

Any pre-match superstitions?

I always listen to the same playlist on my iPod before every game. It's a Drum 'n' Bass playlist. I don't usually listen to this sort of music other than before football and it gets me really motivated.

What do you eat before a game?

Usually it’s either toast with honey or a bowl of porridge with jam.

Who is your favourite ever football player?

This would have to be Mr Paul Scholes. He is my idol as a footballer.

Who has had the biggest influence on your career?

It would have to be my family and especially my dad. We have always been a physically active family.

How old were you when you started playing football?

I have played football since I could walk and always had a football with me wherever I went.

What has been your career highlight so far?

My highlight would have to be winning the British University games with England.

What’s your favourite and least favourite part of training?

I would probably say warm ups and cool downs. I just love having a ball at my feet.

Are you good at any other sports?

Swimming is my second best sport, but when I was younger I chose football over swimming to take more seriously.

What is your most-played song on your ipod at the moment?

Lana Del Rey: National Anthem. Her whole album is great.

What is your favourite film?

A League of Their Own

What are your favourite TV programmes?

Friends, Grey's Anatomy and Covert Affairs.

What were your best and worst subjects at school?

My best subjects were P.E, resistant materials and Maths. My worst was Geography and Religious Studies.

What was your favourite ever holiday?

I can't decide out of two so I’ll choose two – a family cruise around the Mediterranean and a travelling holiday with friends along the west coast of America.

What is your most prized possession?

My family and my friends.

What was the last book you read?

Dawn French, Dear Fatty.

What are your pet hates?

Eating loudly, picking your nose, people not appreciating others and having my food touching each other on my plate (weird I know).

Facebook or Twitter?

Twitter

What do you see yourself doing in ten years’ time?

I hope in 10 years’ time that I am still playing football. Then maybe starting a family and generally enjoying my life with the people that I love.
