Any pre-match superstitions?
I don’t think I do, although I always make sure I re-tie my boots before kick-off and at the start of the second half. I don’t know if it’s a superstition or just a habit.
What do you eat before a game?
Usually either breakfast cereal or toast, followed by some Haribo in the changing rooms.
Who is your favourite ever football player?
Definitely Messi – he’s the best player in the world right now and great to watch.
Who has had the biggest influence on your career?
My parents as they always supported me, from driving me around to training when I was younger and watching every game I play in.
How old were you when you started playing football?
I was about eight when I started playing competitively for Halton Girls.
What has been your career highlight so far?
Representing Great Britain in World University Games in Serbia and World University Championship, both were amazing experiences.
What’s your favourite and least favourite part of training?
I would say best part is anything high tempo such as possession training and practice games. The worst part is the long discussions at the end of each training sessions when I’m cold and wanting to go home.
Are you good at any other sports?
When I was younger, I used to be good at cross country running, but gave it up as I got older and wanted to concentrate on my football. It’s great for fitness and stamina though.
