Liverpool Make Steady Progress

For their second preseason friendly Liverpool hosted Premier League Leeds on a cold damp evening. Second half goals settled the issue.

Liverpool enjoyed plenty of possession in the first half but failed to convert any of the chances that came their way.  Sarah Quantrill kept Liverpool on level terms when she pushed a Leeds shot onto the post just before the interval.

Five minutes into the second half Lillie Billson broke the deadlock with a fine strike into the net. Gemma Bonner extended Liverpool's lead before a well-timed run by Leeds number 10 put her in space behind Liverpool's back line, she took her chance well. Late goals from Katy Brusell and Lizzie Ince secured a 4 - 1 win for Liverpool.
