Liverpool at a romp

On the second day of the England v Scotland tournament Liverpool took on Forfar and Doncaster Belles played Glasgow Rangers. A Liverpool win and a Doncaster Draw put the English teams ahead.

Liverpool got off to a flying start thanks to goals from Louise Fors and Gemma Bonner in the first 7 minutes. By half time Liverpool were out of sight thanks to a first half hat-trick by Nicole Rolser.

A Fara Williams free kick further extended the lead before a lack of concentration in the Liverpool defence gave Forfar a consolation goal. Further goals by Whitney Engen, Jess Holbrook and Fara Williams followed.

Final Score: Liverpool 9 Forfar 1

Today’s other match was a much closer affair. A goal less first half meant scores were level at the break. Cheryl Foster opened the scoring for Doncaster through a penalty. Rangers responded but within a few moments Doncaster went ahead again. Glasgow Rangers headed an equalizer with the last touch of the game.
