The FA confirm WSL fixtures for season three. The first live ESPN match of 2013 will be the Liverpool v Everton clash on Sunday 23rd March K.O. 7.15 at Halton Stadium.
The FA today confirmed FA WSL fixtures for season three for both the league campaign and The FA WSL Continental Cup.
The season kicks off on the weekend of the 23 / 24 March with Group Stage One matches of The FA WSL Continental Cup.
A new look Liverpool Ladies side begin their Cup campaign with a Merseyside derby against rivals Everton Ladies in what will be the first competiitive game at their new home ground, Halton Stadium.
The FA can also confirm that the derby clash will be ESPN’s first live match of the 2013 season. The match kicks off at 7.15pm with coverage beginning on ESPN at 6.45pm on Saturday 23 March.
Cup holders and WSL Champions Arsenal Ladies begin the defence of their trophy against FA Cup holders Birmingham City Ladies, in what promises to be a mouthwatering clash between the WSL’s two top teams over the last couple of seasons.
Bristol Academy kick-off the 2013 season with a home clash against Lincoln Ladies whilst Chelsea travel to the Keepmoat Stadium to face Doncaster Rovers Belles.
The league campaign begins on Sunday 14 April with all four fixtures set for a 2pm KO.
Chelsea Ladies face Birmingham Ladies at home whilst Bristol Academy travel to Arsenal Ladies. Everton Ladies begin their league programme with a home game against Doncaster Rovers Belles and Lincoln Ladies host Liverpool Ladies at Sincil Bank.
ESPN will bring viewers a number of live games from the WSL and will also feature a highlights show for each match week of action, keeping fans up-to-date with all the latest action and league news. The highlights programme will be aired on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. following each match week.
