Matt joined Liverpool Ladies from Chelsea FC Ladies after the recommencement of the Women’s Super-League following their mid-season interval. He started his career as the assistant coach at Charlton Athletic Ladies, where he had a successful spell, winning the FA Cup, League Cup and Charity Shield. He then moved on to Millwall Lionesses and led them to promotion from the Southern Division. Matt’s most recent spell at Chelsea Ladies saw his side slip to a penalty shootout defeat in the FA Cup final, with Birmingham City Ladies claiming victory.
